MEANING OF VAASTU SHASTRA

Vaastu Shastra is a traditional Indian system of architecture which literally translates to science of Architecture. These are the texts found on the Indian Subcontinent that describes the principles of design, layout , measurements, ground preparation, space arrangement and spatial geometry.

The Sanskrit word Vaastu means a dwelling or house with a corresponding plot of land. The Vrddhi, Vaastu take the meaning of the “Site or foundation of a house, ground, habitation etc.”

Vaastu Vidya knowledge is a collection of ideas and concepts, with or without the support of layout diagrams, that are not rigid. It is a great combination of science, art, astronomy and astrology which includes design of house, temples, cities, garden, roads, shops, etc.

Vaastu Shastra is based on various natural energies like sky energy, solar energy from sun, lunar energy from moon, earth energy, electric energy, magnetic energy, thermal energy, wind energy, light energy and cosmic energy.
